Privacy Policy

Rakt Suvidha ("the app") is operated by The MEM Foundation ("we", "us"). This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, who it is shared with, and the choices you have. It applies to the Rakt Suvidha mobile apps and the raktsuvidha.org websites, including the public certificate verification page.

1. What we collect

Device push token	Delivering camp announcements and urgent request notifications

We do not collect your precise location, contacts, photos, or advertising identifiers, and we show no ads.

2. How your data is shared

With NGOs you join — only with your consent. When you join an organization using its invite code, you explicitly consent to share your profile (name, phone number, blood group, locality, donation eligibility) with that organization. Leaving an organization revokes its access to your live profile.
On public certificates. A donation certificate's public verification page shows the certificate ID, your name, donation date, camp name, NGO name, and blood group. It never shows your phone number.
With service providers. We use vetted processors to run the service: Clerk (phone authentication), cloud hosting for our servers and database, and Firebase Cloud Messaging / Apple Push Notification service (notifications). They process data only on our instructions.
We never sell your data or share it with advertisers.

3. Health-adjacent data

Your blood group and donation dates are sensitive to you. They are used solely to compute donation eligibility, match urgent requests, and issue certificates. Only NGOs you have explicitly joined can see them.

4. Security

All data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS). PAN details submitted for NGO verification are stored encrypted and are accessible only to our verification staff. Access to donor data is role-based: organizers see only members of their own verified organization.

5. Retention and deletion

You can delete your account anytime in the app (Profile → Delete account) or by emailing support@raktsuvidha.org. See Delete your account.
Deletion removes your profile, contact details, and presence in all NGO directories within 30 days.
Previously issued donation certificates and historical camp report entries are retained so certificates remain verifiable, with the minimum information needed for that purpose.

6. Your rights

You may access, correct, or delete your personal data, and withdraw consent from any organization by leaving it in the app. We honor rights under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. To exercise any right, email support@raktsuvidha.org.

7. Children

Rakt Suvidha is intended for users aged 18 and above, consistent with blood donation eligibility in India. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

8. Changes

We will post any changes to this policy on this page and update the date above. Material changes will be announced in the app.
